We also provide FREE HIV testing every Saturday, beginning July 2007, where you receive your results in twenty (20) minutes. 773.847.6440 2006 Annual HIV/AIDS Benefit Gala - Malden Mansion, November 18, 2006 NVHF had its fabulous Benefit Gala Novemer 18, 2006 at the home of Joshua and Bleusette Randall, 4602 N. Malden Street. NVHF Third Quarter HIV/AIDS Forum – July 29, 2006: BeHIV performed free Ora Prick HIV testing with results given in 20 minutes. HIV education provided by BeHIV and New Vision of Hope Foundation. The entertainment included 2 spoken word poets, Lena Edwards and Freddie and also a stand-up comedian, Mary Bridgette. We also had our raffle and bake sale. DOORS - April 28, 2006: NVHF presented “DOORS” a theatrical production about HIV and other matters at Truman College in Pilsen on April 28, 2006. DOORS was written, produced and directed by Victoria Wilson, Executive Director of NVHF. The performance received a standing ovation. We plan to perform at Chicago colleges, universities high school auditoriums and private theatre venues to spread more edutainment – education through entertainment. Details concerning future performance dates will be listed on our website one month prior to show times. Rafflle, refreshments, and entertainment to be announced. NVHF Third Quarter HIV/AIDS Forum - September 10, 2005: BeHIV performed free Ora Prick HIV testing with results given in 20 minutes. HIV education provided by BeHIV and New Vision of Hope Foundation. Entertainment provided by renowned singer, actress, producer Maggie Brown. Raffle and refreshments served. NVHF Second Quarter HIV/AIDS Forum - June 11, 2005: Mini health fair. Free HIV education and testing. One dollar blood pressure checks. Raffle and bake sale. Poets: Mamma Brenda and Lena Stewart performed. NVHF First Innaugural HIV/AIDS Benefit Fund Raising Gala- April 10, 2005: A Million Miles for a Million Lives AIDS Benefit Gala. Dear Friends, Family and Colleagues: This invitation is being sent to you because you have supported New Vision of Hope Foundation. This is our first big Fundraiser and we are extremely excited to be a part of this very worthy cause! NVHF First Quarter HIV/AIDS Forum - March 2005: New Vision of Hope Foundation is currently working on a project in conjunction with the Chicago Public Schools to develop a theatre group of students from ages ten to eighteen to perform acting, dancing, singing and mime. The theatre group will tour the city of Chicago and outlying areas using their production as an educational tool for peer-to-peer teaching about HIV & AIDS. 2004-2005: New Vision of Hope Foundation is currently working on a project in conjunction with the Chicago Public Schools to develop a theatre group of students from ages ten to eighteen to perform acting, dancing, singing and mime. NVHF Second Quarter HIV/AIDS Forum - November 27, 2004: We enjoyed a successful HIV/AIDS education forum that featured Lou, an educator from BeHIV. Eighteen people received free HIV testing conducted by Morris, a representative of BeHIV. Our next event is scheduled in February, 2005. Please check the Calendar page in January for the exact date of the event. NVHF Resale Shop's Grand Opening Celebration - August 21, 2004: New Vision of Hope Foundation had a Grand Opening celebration on August 21st, 2004, from 12 noon to 3 p.m. at the Resale Shop located at 1303 W. Wilson, Chicago IL, 60640. Speakers: The Grand Opening Celebration featured Doctor John Marscinak, Head Physician of the University of Chicago's Pediatric Infectious Disease Department who spoke on the subject of children with HIV and AIDS. Lou, a representative from BeHIV, spoke for 45 minutes on HIV, and answered questions asked by participants. Entertainment: The celebration included music, singing, refreshments, and a fashion show featuring clothing from the resale shop.
