Mission Statement

The Mission of New Vision of Hope Foundation is to provide coordinated, comprehensive and high quality HIV/AIDS education, awareness and prevention to the residents of Chicago with particular attention to the youth who have HIV/AIDS, at-risk clients, the medically underserved and low-income populations. These services will be accessible and delivered in a manner that is congruent with the economic, cultural and social needs of the community.

Corporate Goals and Objectives

New Vision of Hope Foundation's corporate goals and objectives are:

  • to strengthen the operation of the Pilsen Resale Store and to open additional resale stores that will also generate revenue, create jobs, and provide leadership in HIV/AIDS education, awareness and prevention;
  • to be an active member of the community by participating in citywide events concerning the war on HIV/AIDS, and provide daily public HIV/AIDS education and Free HIV Testing Forums every Saturday, beginning July 2007, in the store;
  • to transform the creative spirit and interests of addicted youth and adults enrolled in substance abuse treatment who are at-risk with HIV & STDs, and also those who are HIV+ by creating an effective peer-to-peer education program that will teach the basic fundamentals of HIV/AIDS education and culminate with patients writing stories about their lives. These stories will be told by utilizing the creative arts of acting, dancing and singing as a form of educational outreach through edutainment – education through entertainment;
  • to link with substance abuse facilities to expand our outreach of edutainment;
  • to create new and innovative ideas for teens and young adults to become involved in peer-to-peer education to create a Domino affect for learning; and
  • to be competent, just and ethical in our actions operating in good character, judgment and integrity.
